What’s Your Giving Style?


At LSA we provide several ways you can give to LSA.

Choose the option that suits your style!

Numbered Envelopes are ideal for those who want to give on a weekly basis. If you have not used numbered envelopes before and would like to have a set prepared for you, please contact the church office.

PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance), a set amount automatically transferred to LSA from your bank account each month, offers a convenient method for those who prefer to give on a monthly basis. A brochure outlining PAR is available in the pew as well as at the Info Desk.

Brown Envelopes (found in each pew) can be used by anybody at anytime. If giving cash, please make sure to clearly identify your brown envelope (name and address or envelope number) so that tax receipts can be issued.


GIFTS of SECURITIES

 

Donating securities is one of the many ways you can contribute to Lakeshore St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Recent changes to federal tax regulations make this type of giving more beneficial than ever before.  By giving securities to our Church, you can help build a stronger faith community for all and also receive a more significant tax credit.

Under new federal tax laws, you can now donate appreciated securities without paying any capital gains tax. In addition, you receive a tax receipt for the full value of the shares. While we would hope that tax incentives are not your only reason for contributing, we know they are an important consideration in any financial planning scenario. This represents a very effective tax saving way to make contributions to your Church.

We encourage you to consult your financial advisor and/or Canada Revenue Agency for more information. You can contact Al De Simon or Mark Reeb at Lakeshore St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church for further discussion on how to make contributions in this manner.
