Our Mission Statement
Lakeshore St. Andrew's exists to encourage people to have hearts that follow hard after God through Commitment, Community, Contribution and Communication of the Good News.
Our Core Values
The leadership at Lakeshore
St. Andrew's has worked diligently and prayerfully to provide
a Statement of Values under which our ministry is conducted. A
value is a defining principle, an inner imperative and a code
by which we live.
1. Godly Leadership
We are convinced that people with appropriate gifts should lead ministries. As
such, ministry will begin and end with passionate leadership. Where there
is authentic leadership, there will be a lasting impact on future generations.
2. Life Change
We are convinced that life change happens in the heart of an individual. At
the same time, we will seek to offer a balanced discipling ministry, challenging
people to see Christianity's relevance for all areas of their lives.
3. Evangelism
We are convinced that lost people matter to God and therefore need a safe place
where they can investigate Christ and His claims and experience Him at their
own pace.
4. Community
We are convinced that all of our people need to be connected to a biblically
functioning small group where they can reach the lost, develop their relationships
and grow into Christ-likeness.
5. Excellence
We are convinced that our highest calling is to honour Christ with our lives
and service. Knowing this requires excellence.
6. Teamwork
We are convinced that every believer is called to serve others with their spiritual
gifts. Synergy & community can happen when we combine those gifts
with others in teams.
7. Stewardship
We are convinced that a mature believer is one who has arranged his time, talents
and treasures in light of God's purposes.
8. Prayer
We are convinced that effectiveness in ministry is dependant upon prayer. Therefore,
the dreaming, planning and execution of ministry will be saturated in prayer.
9. Family
We are convinced of the need to reach people early in life and partner with
families as we seek to challenge them to a lifetime of devotion to Christ.
10. Cultural Relevancy
We are convinced that ministry is a catalyst for life change when it is done
with Biblical faithfulness and connects with real life.
