Getting connected At
Lakeshore St. Andrew's...

Welcome to the heartbeat
of Lakeshore St. Andrew's. Those involved in the community
life of Lakeshore St. Andrew's meet new people, make new friends
and develop lasting relationships with other people who share
in a common interest.
Being In Community
Involves:
- Loving and being loved – God
hungers for us to be loved and to give love to others. In fact,
He desires this for us even more than we want it for ourselves.
- Knowing and being known – We
know that there are people in our lives who trust us enough
to disclose the deep and tender parts of their lives with someone
who really cares.
- Serving and being served – Jesus
demonstrated humility and a willingness to serve and be served.
As part of a Small Group, there will be opportunity to experience
serving and being served.
- Celebrating and being celebrated –
We creatively celebrate each other’s life experiences
and God’s goodness and work in our lives. God smiles when
we can delight each other’s hearts and celebrate one another!
Life Change Happens
When We Are Connected:
“As
a result of this study, I have made up my mind that I must set
my goal, trust in God more & stick with it.”
“I’ve
learned more about my relationship with God, where He wants
me to be in my life.”
“This group provides hope for people struggling with major
change.”
“The support & prayers of friends I can trust help
me to follow Jesus.”
“I’ve
been going through some very tough times & this course has
brought me closer to God & given me a whole new perspective
on what God really wants for me.”
“I was
very reluctant to participate at first. As time went on I became
more comfortable and my participation increased.”
Where Can I Connect?
We are all at different
spiritual levels in our lives so we have categorized Small Groups
into different areas designed to meet you where you are.
- Growth Groups - You know Christ personally
and desire to know him more. Being teachable and sensitive
to the Spirit's leading, you are actively pursuing a life of
greater devotion to Christ and application to your daily life.
You can begin where you are right now.
- Service Groups - You are a person
who desires to accomplish a task, knows your gifts God has given
you and want to use them here at Lakeshore to volunteer on a
team, or pitch in and help where needed.
- Interest Groups - You are a person
who has a particular common interest with others. You
meet together to enjoy the activity and discover new friendships
at the same time.
- Support Groups- Acknowledge, learn
and experience God's healing power in your life.
How To Get Connected.
- Decide what type of group you want to connect with that fits
your interest and spiritual level.
- Determine when you are available to participate in a Small
Group.
- Sign up in person at Small Group Kiosk on Sunday following
each service.
